My Story

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland. My mental health and administrative positions have increased my ability to interact with and help others reach their better selves. I practice to provide clients with optimal treatment services, too, by empowering them with the necessary tools

to become self-reliant.

I have a doctorate level education in pastoral counseling and psychotherapy. Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I was a pastor-leader for over 20 years, providing church leadership, administration, youth activities, workshops, and intense ministerial training to local pastors. I have attended many workshops, seminars, and conferences on cutting-edge church growth materials. I presently advise lay-leaders on how they can grow their churches by using effective and relevant church strategies. I have enjoyed the challenges of integrating theology and psychology to inform church and individual growth.

I have served as a clinical therapist I/II, substance abuse counselor, pastoral counselor, coordinator, clinical supervisor, clinical director, and program director. I have provided counseling for adolescents, adults, and homeless (chronically mentally-ill) populations. In addition, I have other work related experiences in spiritual care and substance abuse counseling. I have been in the social service field for over 30 years, training in integrative, cognitive-behavioral, evidence-based, and spiritual matters. I am a humanistic, person-centered therapist.

I have three professional licenses and one certified counselor credential. I frequently attend continuing education classes, workshops, and seminars to maintain current therapeutic research, and frequently consult with senior level clinicians.

If you ever have a question, please ask. I do not have all the answers, but I will help you find them.
